About Us

The Church of the Resurrection, also known as Resurrection Catholic Church, is an active community. We are blessed to be located just a couple of blocks from the Gulf of Mexico on the Florida Panhandle in an area known as the Emerald Coast with its beautiful blue-green waters. Our beautiful Church was built with an altar in the center surrounded on all sides by the congregation. The exterior walls are glass, letting nature in on all sides; beautiful greenery and blue skies are our walls. Dedicated on October 7, 2001, the design of the Church truly incorporates the modern and the ancient.

The seven paths that lead through Resurrection’s award-winning gardens to the main doors of the Church represent all of us coming from different paths in our lives to join together in the Eucharist. The paths join at the circular path with the Stations of the Cross and our outdoor crucifix. It is one of a kind, made in Italy and first hung in the sanctuary of Resurrection’s original Church. Day and night, people come to pray at this incredible Crucifix.

Holy Week Schedule

Dear Parishioners,

This year we are celebrating a different kind of Easter. As you know, churches are not allowed to celebrate mass in person. Due to that, we will be streaming the masses this Holy Week. The schedule of masses is as follow:

Holy Thursday: Thursday, April 9, at 4:00 pm CST.

Good Friday: Friday, April 10, at 4:00 pm CST.

Easter Vigil: Saturday, April 11, at 4:00 pm CST.

Easter: Sunday, April 12, at 10:00 am CST.

These services will be available on our website (resurrectionbythebeach.org) and our Facebook page (facebook.com/Resurrectionbythebeach/).

On Palm Sunday morning, Fr. Tom would like to invite you to receive Holy Communion and pick up the Blessed Palms at 11:00 am at Resurrection. We will be using the west parking lot near the Church Offices to distribute Holy Communion and Palms, similar to a drive-through.

Similarly, after Easter Sunday Mass, Fr. Tom would like to invite you to receive Holy Communion at 11:00 am at Resurrection, in the same way before expressed.

For your convenience, you can use the online giving button on our website to continue to support the Church.

God Bless,

Fr. Tom
