First Holy Communion
The holy Eucharist completes Christian initiation. Those who have been raised to the dignity of the royal priesthood by Baptism and configured more deeply to Christ by Confirmation participate with the whole community in the Lord's own sacrifice by means of the Eucharist (CCC 1322).

Canon 913
§1. The administration of the Most Holy Eucharist to children requires that they have sufficient knowledge and careful preparation so that they understand the mystery of Christ according to their capacity and are able to receive the body of Christ with faith and devotion.

We have adopted Received & Renewed as the foundational curriculum for our Sacramental Catechesis program, specifically designed to guide students through the preparation for their First Reconciliation and First Communion.

2024-2025 Registration not Open Yet
For the 2024-2025 school year Resurrection will offer a sacramental prep class for 2nd graders and older who are seeking the sacraments of Reconciliation and Holy Communion. Students in this program need to have already received the Sacrament of Baptism.
Preparation for First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion is planned to be offered in tandem with our Faith Formation catechesis program offered to Kindergarteners to 5th Grade.
